Returns and Exchanges Policy

We want every purchase to feel like an investment in your confidence and sense of self. Many of our clients find that with a few personalized adjustments — such as parting, subtle trimming, or toning — their alt hair becomes absolutely perfect. Before returning, we encourage you to explore our styling resources and complimentary virtual consultations to help customize your wig to your liking.

If you ultimately decide your wig is not the right match, we gladly accept returns on all stock wigs purchased online, including pre-orders.

 

Items Not Eligible for Return

We cannot accept returns on:

  • Stock pieces that have been altered (such as lace cutting);

  • Custom orders or bespoke pieces created to your specifications;

  • Sale or promotional items.

Return for Refund

If you wish to return a stock item for a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Email info@alixehair.com with the subject line "Return" with your order number.

    We’ll reply with detailed shipping instructions and a return address.

  2. Ship the item back to us within 72 hours of delivery (as confirmed by your carrier). This window allows time to try on and assess your piece but not enough time for customers to wear it out without buying.

  3. After 72 hours, the sale is final.

  4. Once received, our team will inspect your piece to confirm it is in original condition. Please allow up to 7-10 business days for inspection. We will do our best to inspect your return as fast as possible.

  5. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, minus a $150 USD restocking fee per item. Please allow time for credit card companies to process the refund.

Refund Conditions

  • Items must be unworn and unaltered — no cutting lace, washing, heat styling, or applying products.

  • The piece must be odor-free (no perfume, smoke, or styling residue).

  • All original packaging and accessories must be included. Clips (if any) must be closed. And tags must remain attached.

  • Returns must be shipped using a trackable courier service with signature confirmation. We recommend insured shipping; Alixe is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

  • Shipping fees, transaction charges, and other processing costs are non-refundable.

  • Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days after approval.

If the item does not meet these standards, it will be returned to you at your expense.

 

Return for Exchange or Store Credit

If your wig is not quite right — whether the color, cap fit, or length is not perfect — you can return it for store credit to select a replacement.

  1. Within 10 days of delivery, email info@alixehair.com with the subject line "Exchange" with your order number.

    We’ll reply with detailed shipping instructions and a return address.

  2. Within 10 days of delivery, ship the item back to us using the same care as above.

  3. After 10 days, the sale is final.
  4. Once inspected and approved, you’ll receive a store credit for the full purchase amount, valid for two years from the original order date.

Second Returns

If you use store credit to purchase a replacement and need to return that piece as well:

  • You may request a refund (within 72 hours) or credit (within 10 days) of receipt.

  • A $80 USD fee per item will be deducted from the amount refunded or credited.

Custom Orders

Custom orders — including any stock item modified at your request — are final sale and cannot be cancelled or returned.

 

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your order before it ships, please submit a cancellation request immediately via our Return Request form. Orders that have already shipped cannot be cancelled.

Approved cancellations will incur a $125 USD processing fee per item, deducted from your refund.

 

Faulty or Defective Items

Our pieces are crafted and inspected with great care, but on the rare occasion an item arrives with a defect, we will gladly repair or replace it.

To report a concern:

  1. Notify us within 24 hours of delivery via the Return Request form, including your name, order number, and clear photos of the issue.

  2. Return the item for evaluation.

  3. If the item is deemed faulty upon inspection, ALIXE will repair or replace it at no cost to you.

Please note:

  • Claims made after the 24-hour window or after the piece has been altered (e.g., lace cut, color adjusted, styled, or washed) cannot be accepted.

  • Due to the delicate, hand-tied nature of our pieces, we cannot guarantee longevity once worn.

  • Repairs outside the initial window may be available for a service fee.

Currency and Payment Notes

All prices and refunds are processed in U.S. dollars (USD). Exchange-rate fluctuations may affect your bank’s final conversion if you paid in another currency.

 

Acknowledgment at Checkout

At checkout, you’ll be asked to confirm that you have read and agree to ALIXE’s Return and Exchange Policy. Placing an order constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms.
